Cost per dose is vial price divided by whole doses
The intuitive calculation is price divided by milligrams, then multiplied by the dose. That number is wrong whenever the dose does not divide evenly into the vial, because it assumes every milligram you paid for becomes part of a dose. Some of it does not.
The correct calculation is vial price divided by the number of whole doses the vial yields. A whole dose is one you can actually draw and administer at your target amount. Anything left after the last whole dose is stranded: you paid for it, it sits in the vial, and it never becomes a dose at your chosen amount.
This page does not carry prices. Prices move, vary by seller, and we cannot verify them. What we can compute is the divisor, and the divisor is what most people get wrong. Take whatever price you are looking at and divide it by the whole dose count in the table above, not by the milligram count on the label.
Three things worth noticing in the table
First, the 2 mg vial and the 10 mg vial both strand nothing at a 2 mg dose. The 2 mg vial is exactly one dose. The 10 mg vial is 5 doses. In both cases every milligram you bought becomes part of a dose, so the price-per-milligram shortcut and the true cost per dose agree.
Second, the 5 mg vial is the odd one. At a 2 mg dose it yields 2 whole doses and leaves 1 mg behind, which is 20 percent of the vial. If you compute cost per dose by dividing the vial price by the whole dose count, that figure is higher than the price-per-milligram shortcut suggests, by exactly the share of the vial that never gets used.
Third, and this is the part that matters commercially: a 5 mg vial can be the cheaper vial on paper and the more expensive vial per dose. Whether it is depends on the gap between the two prices, which only you can supply. Run the division on both before deciding.
Water volume changes nothing about cost
Tesamorelin listings show reconstitution with 1, 2 or 3 mL. The water volume sets concentration, which sets how many syringe units a given dose occupies. It does not change how much peptide is in the vial.
A 10 mg vial holds 10 mg whether you put 1 mL or 3 mL into it. The whole dose count at a 2 mg dose is 5 either way, and nothing is stranded either way. Cost per dose is identical across all three water volumes.
More water can make a small dose easier to measure, because the same milligram amount occupies more volume on the barrel. That is a measurement question, not a cost question, and it does not rescue a vial that divides badly.
