Epitalon

How long does reconstituted Epitalon last?

Epitalon reconstituted with bacteriostatic water and kept refrigerated carries a standard 28 day handling window, counted from the day water was added, not from first use. Left at room temperature, that window is 2 days. Unmixed powder in the fridge holds for months to years. This site makes no safety or clinical claims.

What the 28 day count actually measures

The table on this page gives a handling window, not a potency guarantee. The 28 day figure attached to a refrigerated vial mixed with bacteriostatic water is the conventional multi-dose window for a preserved solution. It reflects how long the preservative in the water is generally treated as doing its job against contamination introduced each time a needle enters the stopper. It says nothing about whether the peptide itself is intact on the last day.

The count begins on the day water went into the vial. It does not begin at first draw. A vial that sat mixed in the fridge for a week before anyone touched it has already spent part of its window. This is the most common way people misread a storage figure, and it is why the mix date matters more than the open date.

Nothing about this window is a recommendation. It is a number the handling convention supplies, reproduced so you can do arithmetic against it. Whether a given vial is fit to use is not a question this page can answer.

The gap between cold and warm is the point of the table

Refrigerated and room temperature are not adjacent numbers. The refrigerated window is 28 days. The room temperature window is 2 days. That is the difference the table is built to show, and it is worth sitting with before deciding where a vial lives.

Preservative effectiveness falls away faster in warmth, and so does the general stability of anything dissolved in water. A vial that spends its life on a countertop is not on a slightly shorter clock than a refrigerated one, it is on a fundamentally different clock. The warm figure governs any vial that is not consistently cold.

Short trips out of the fridge, the minutes it takes to draw and return, are not what the 2 day row describes. That row describes storage. But there is no arithmetic here for partial excursions, no formula that converts an hour on the bench into days subtracted from the window. Anyone offering you that conversion is estimating.

Powder is the stable form, so mix against use rate

Unmixed powder held in the fridge is listed as stable for months to years, subject to the vendor date on the vial. That is a different order of magnitude from any mixed condition, and it has a practical consequence: the clock only starts when you add water.

Epitalon is sold in 10 mg, 20 mg and 50 mg vials, with 1 mL, 2 mL and 3 mL commonly used as the reconstitution volume. Doses appearing in listings run 5 mg and 10 mg. A vial that will not be finished inside the window will have solution left in it when the window closes. That is a planning problem, not a dosing question. We are not telling you what to draw or how often.

What we do not know about Epitalon

There is no reliable human pharmacokinetic data for Epitalon that we are willing to build on. This site makes no claim about its half life, how long it takes to clear the body, whether it accumulates with repeated administration, or how long any effect might persist. Those questions are open and we will not guess at them.

That gap is separate from the storage question. Vial handling windows describe a liquid sitting in glass. They describe preservative behavior and solution stability. They tell you nothing about what happens after injection, and nobody should read the 28 day figure as a statement about duration in the body.

Epitalon is not approved by any regulator for human use. There is no medical review behind this page. Nothing here addresses safety, efficacy, side effects or suitability, and those are questions for a clinician, not a dose calculator.

Handling notes that follow from the numbers

Write the reconstitution date on the vial the moment you add water. Not the date you opened the box, not the date of first use. The window is anchored to mixing, and there is no way to recover that date later if you did not record it.

Keep the vial cold between uses and return it promptly. The gap between the refrigerated and room temperature rows is the whole argument for this. Check the vendor date on unmixed powder before you commit water to it, since the months to years figure applies to properly stored dry product and the vendor date is your only anchor for how much of that has already elapsed.

What we do not know

We hold no reliable human pharmacokinetic data for Epitalon, so this site makes no claims about its half life, how long it takes to clear, or how it accumulates. The arithmetic below concerns concentration and volume only.

This page answers arithmetic and handling questions. It does not tell you what dose to take, what to expect, or whether anything is appropriate for you, and there is no medical review behind it.

Common questions

Does the 28 days start when I mix it or when I first use it?
When you add water. The window is counted from the reconstitution date, not from first draw. A vial mixed and then left untouched in the fridge is spending its window the whole time. This is why labeling the vial with the mix date matters.
I left my Epitalon vial out overnight. Is it still good?
We cannot answer that. The table gives 2 days as the room temperature storage window, but there is no arithmetic here for a partial excursion followed by a return to the fridge. Whether a specific vial is fit to use is not a question this site is equipped to answer.
How long does unmixed Epitalon powder keep?
Months to years refrigerated, according to the handling table, subject to the vendor date printed on the vial. Dry powder is the stable form. The short windows on this page apply only once water has been added.
Does using more water change how long it lasts?
No. The 28 day refrigerated window is a handling convention for the mixed vial and does not shift with reconstitution volume. Whether you use 1 mL, 2 mL or 3 mL changes the concentration and the volume you draw, not the clock.
What is the half life of Epitalon?
We do not publish one. There is no reliable human pharmacokinetic data for Epitalon that we are prepared to build on, so this site makes no claim about half life, clearance or accumulation. The storage windows on this page describe the vial, not the body.
Can I freeze a reconstituted vial to extend the window?
The computed data on this page covers refrigerated and room temperature conditions for mixed solution, plus refrigerated dry powder. It does not cover freezing, so we have no figure to give you and will not extrapolate one.
