What the 28 days is actually measuring

The window in the table is a handling convention, not a measurement of the peptide. It comes from bacteriostatic water. That water contains a preservative intended to suppress microbial growth in a vial that gets punctured repeatedly, and 28 days refrigerated is the standard period that preservative is treated as doing its job.

So the number describes the sterility of the container over repeated needle entries. It does not describe how much BPC-157 remains intact, and it does not describe potency. Those are separate questions, and this site does not answer them.

The practical consequence is that the clock starts when water goes in, not when the first dose is drawn. A vial mixed and then ignored for three weeks has already spent most of its window sitting in the fridge doing nothing.

Why room temperature costs so much

The gap between the refrigerated row and the room temperature row is the single most useful thing in the table. Twenty-eight days versus two. That is not a gentle slope. Preservative effectiveness falls away far faster warm, and the vial stops being a multi-dose container in any meaningful sense.
