How we choose suppliers

This page exists so the answer is written down before the money is, rather than after. It applies to every outbound link on the site, including the ones we are paid for.

What we are paid

Some outbound links pay us a commission. Where that is the case it is stated next to the link, above it, not in the footer, and the wording is generated from the same record that generates the link. There is no code path that produces a link without producing its disclosure, which is deliberate: a disclosure maintained by hand goes stale the first time a relationship changes.

Payment does not move a supplier up a list, and it never changes a number. Every figure on this site comes from the published method and would be identical if no commercial relationship existed at all.

What has to be true before we list anyone

  1. Published third-party testing. Not a certificate the supplier issues about itself. An independent laboratory report, dated, traceable to a batch, and readable without an account.
  2. A stated shipping territory. If we cannot establish where a supplier will and will not ship, we cannot tell a reader whether the listing is any use to them.
  3. A human check with a date on it. Someone opened the site, confirmed the two points above, and recorded when. A listing that has not been rechecked within 120 days is marked unverified rather than left to age quietly.

What we do not claim

We do not test anything ourselves. We hold no laboratory, we run no assays, and we have no way to tell you what is in a vial you have bought. A supplier meeting the criteria above means those three facts were checkable on a given date. It is not a statement that a product is pure, correctly dosed, safe, legal to import, or suitable for any person or purpose.

We also do not rank suppliers. There is no best, no top pick and no score, because producing one would require quality judgements we are not in a position to make.

Current listings

We currently list no suppliers. The criteria above are in force and the site is built to display listings, but none has been added. When that changes, the entries will appear here first.

Telling us something is wrong

If a supplier listed here has stopped publishing testing, changed hands, or is doing something a reader should know about, say so through the contact page. Removing a listing costs us money and we will still do it.
